dayton family photographer: tarr family

Ahh, the Tarrs! I’ve known Rob & Debbie since they led my church youth group in junior high. After not seeing them for years, when we were buying our house, we realized we lived just a few streets apart! Their family is a blast, and their boys are full of the most awesome, hilarious energy. I had so much fun running around Dayton with these guys. Be sure to check out Debbie’s blog, too!

personal work: weekend trip

Last weekend we took a quick (but super relaxing) trip to south-eastern Ohio to visit Z’s family. We decided to take a leisurely time of getting there, and spent a little time exploring new shops & sites. On the way out we stopped at The Dawe’s Arboretum in Newark so we and Griffin (who is getting so big!) could stretch our legs. It is absolutely gorgeous and completely worth a stop, if you happen to be nearby. Photos also from: Z’s grandma’s beautiful land (where he found, and caught, that snake); Haymarket General Store, a ridiculously cute little shop full of all-natural and repurposed goodies in Cambridge; and Terra Cotta Vineyards and McDaniel’s Greenhouse, both in New Concord.

dayton family photographer: vallejo family

I met up with the Vallejo family this week to celebrate & capture some images sweet-as-can-be Kale as he approaches his first birthday. Seriously, this little mister could not have been more perfect for his pictures! We took some pictures with mom and dad, played some soccer, then ended our session with a little bitta cake smushing. Happy birthday, Kale! :)

dayton engagement photography: katie & joel

Oh, dear–Katie & Joel are just a photographer’s dream. Yeah, an absolutely gorgeous couple but, so much more than that, they are obviously totally in love. They each told me that they weren’t too comfortable being photographed, but as soon as we started their session, you could see how at ease they are together–they just make each other smile! Their wedding this summer is going to be a total blast :)
